24/8

In the month of Arkantis of the year 717 in the Second Era, the eldest of the three brothers made a breakthrough in the order's search for the Ring of Truth. While visiting the city of Oasis in Estril, he paid a visit to the grand library, for which the city was famous. While in Oasis, it was uncovered that the last known Ring of Truth was said to have become the heirloom of some royal family in Tiberoa. He was then directed to a seek out a scholar in northern Nosgorov Province if he wished to learn more; and so he did. The scholar was able to confirm this rumor, and even told Richelieu that the ring currently adorned the hand of one King Deretrides of Ioskos. With this information in tow, the brother made haste back to the would-be order of knights with the news.

It was an unseasonably warm night in late Arkantis when one of the eldest of the three brothers, Richelieu, made a miraculous breakthrough in the order's search for the Ring of Truth. While visiting the city of Oasis, in Estril, he sought out the grand library there. One fateful night, he found himself having drinks with several professors from the university there, one of them being the head of the archaeology department. He told Richelieu of about a scholar from the north, one who had come through Oasis on holiday a year or two prior who held a public dissertation on the now lost relics. The professor went on to say that the last known Ring of Truth was said to have become the heirloom of some royal family in Tiberoa, according to the scholar. The professor gave Richelieu the scholar's name, then directed him to seek the scholar out in a city called called Moskgorod, in the province of Nosgorov Province, if he wished to learn more. So the eldest brother left for Moskgorod.   When he arrived, the scholar was easily able to confirm this rumor, and even told Richelieu that the ring was currently in the possession of King Deretrides of Ioskos. He also told Richelieu tales of the ring's birth, and even shared some research notes on the artifact, proving true that the ring could detect the presence of lies. The scholar spoke with the brother for as long as he would stand to listen. And before they parted, the scholar purportedly issued an eerie warning. "Beware what you seek in the truth, for those who search for it are often blinded by it." With this information in tow, an excited Richelieu traveled home to his brothers with the good news, and the would-be order began to discuss how best to acquire the Ring of Truth.
