The Red Sorceress Diadem
AKA the Crown Soceress Jewels
The Red Sorceress Jewels, also known as the Crown Sorceress Jewels, were created for the Crown of Sorcery, specifically to be worn by the Crown Sorceress herself.
Appearance
The diadem is small and made of burnished silver. The seven jewels embedded in it are bright, deep, blood-red and seem to swirl with an almost alive darkness. When their enchantment is activated and it tries to cling to its host, the darkness emerges like a live black fluid and attatches itself to the host. Runic engravings line the gems in a language that is too ancient for anyone to remember.History
The Crown Sorceress has been in possesion of the diadem since it was made. Each successive Crown Sorceress has been in possession of it. Its existence is common knowledge in the Crown of Sorcery but is unknown elsewhere in Alia.
It is unclear exactly when the jewels were enchanted (or cursed) with its Dark Corruption. However, it was cursed before it came into Soriya’s possession.
Significance
This diadem has been worn by the Crown Sorceress since the creation of the guild. In 692, an up-and-coming sorceress stole the jewels from the Crown Soceress. Later that year, she began going by the name of the Red Sorceress, an ancient title based on a myth of destruction. Wearing these jewels and donning that name, she performed a series of massacres in the name of rights for lesser elves.
