Ossic Cult
The Ossic Cult and the Kingdom of Alghast have a tied history. One would not exist without the other. It was only through the spread of the Kingdom that the Ossics could take hold in people's lives, and it was only through the Cult's homogenizing influence that the Kingdom was able to expand so rapidly.
The Cult espouses the glory of mankind and it's fallen. They worship the ancestors and violently reject the pantheon of Alhom. They establish elaborate catacombs under the cities of Alghast for the interment of the dead, in stark contrast to the cremation heavy religions throughout the rest of Alhom. Their organization includes a massive bureaucratic clergy and martial forces in the way of knightly orders.
Since the fall of the city of Alghast, the Cult has stepped into the vacuum left by the crown.
Structure
The Cult is divided into a series of groups, called Circles, which deal with their appropriate jurisdiction. The Cult as a whole is lead by the High Ossics, which include members from every circle, who decide on matters that effect the organization as a whole.
Public Agenda
The Ossic Cult serves as the main government body since the fall of Alghast. It protects the people of the kingdom through a iron fist, deemed necessary for the safety of the land. Through its various knightly orders, it seeks to reclaim old territory and resettle their kindom, and eliminate the evils which lie beyond the safety of Jeisser.
