The Heroes of the Spire kill Noul'zadan and destroy his phylactery.

The Heroes of the Spire and The Forgotten Knights defeat the Noul'zadan, slaying him in his throne room. They free the time elemental bound in his lair, and destroy his clockwork statue, locating his phylactery.
  They proceed to travel to the bottomless pit and speak with Rhaim'gaiz, who expresses disapointment in his apprentices failures, and offers them the chance to serve him instead. They decline, and he threatens them, letting them know that three of the seven seals have already broken and he will one day be free of The Shadowspire. They ignore this and throw the phylactery into the bottomless pit, killing Noul'zadan for good.
