The Outlaws and Isabella Fairchild have reached Kamobea, the island from the tale of Saint Brenedan, but unfortunately it is not the land of prosperity that was promised.

Being pulled from the bag, the group found themselves washed up on a tropical beach with Isabella Fairchild. On the shore as well was the dead blue dragon. Isabella explained that during the battle, she had lept onto the creatures back and stabbed it many times with her sword, but it flew off to try and get rid of her, and then died, and the corpse washed up here. She had no idea where they were or where the ship was, or even if the ship was still intact.   Jade was able to retrieve her other equipment from the bag, quietly changing out of her robe into armor, and then the group decided to follow the coastline. After about a half days walking, they had found nothing of note, and decided to head into the jungle. They seemed to be navigating the jungle well enough between Emily and Isabella's training, and they were eventually greeted by a brown skinned, black haired teenager wearing armor painted to blend into the trees, carrying a bow, several spears, and a two bladed sword. The girl introduced herself as Kalia Quietfoot, and the group was surprised that she spoke common, Kalia in turn was surprised they spoke the native language of the island, but still demanded to know who they were, how they'd got here, and what their intentions were.   The group explained that they had been shipwrecked and meant her no harm, they asked where they were, and she provided the name "Kamobea", and explained that she must take them back to the chief to determine what to do with them.   As they walked, she explained that the island, Kamobea, was on the back of a gigantic turtle goddess they called "The Great Mother". It was the duty of the people of Kamobea to help protect the goddess and her offspring. The Great Mother travels the sea, sending out more turtles to lay eggs on beaches depending on where she is and the climate. She pointed above, and the group could see that they were underwater at this time, Kalia explained that the Great Mother kept them safe from the water and created the illusion of the sun in the sky to provide them heat and warmth. The island always seemed to provide what they needed.   On their way to the village, the group was attacked by a dozen zombies. They were able to put them down, and Kalia explained that the other humans, humans who looked more like the group, that had arrived years ago, were killing her people and using dark magic to reanimate their corpses to try and wipe all the natives out. She explained the other humans were led by an evil wizard by the name of Saint Brenedan, and no matter how many times they killed him, he seemed to come back.   The group arrived at the village, a series of treehouses in the sky, but found them to be oddly empty and quiet. They made their way into the biggest of the houses, and met Chief Konel Man-Killer and High Shaman Iseeta Life-Giver, who also happened to be Kalia's parents. They expressed relief that their daughter had returned and chastised her for going out alone. In the treehouse were two other people, clearly not natives of the island, a handsome man by the name of Johnny Marzetti, and a shy woman by the name of Kira. Isabella rushed and gave them both a hug, explaining that Johnny was a famous bard. Asking why he was there, he explained that he was a friend of the tribe after helping them years ago.   The Chief got them all back on track, and explained that the settlers from Saint Brenedan's ship that arrived years ago built their own settlement, and started to enslave the natives here, and those who could not be enslaved, or who had been killed earlier, were coming back as undead, the three of them being the only remaining members of the tribe not captured or killed. The Chief further explained that they must travel to the Great Temple at the center of the island to commune with The Great Mother and seek her guidance, the party reluctantly agreed.   They all set out for the temple, and after a few hours of travel (and nightfall arriving), they came to the temple. Inside, they found the leader of the temple, Kalia's grandmother, dead, as well as the other acolytes, and in their place, several shadow creatures. After a tough draining battle, the group slayed the shadows, and were thankfully healed by Life-Giver. Unsure of what to do next, the three natives of the island respectfully burned their dead, praying over them and assured the group that their spirits were now part of The Great Mother. After some debate, it was decided that the Chief, High Shaman, Johnny, Kira, and Isabella, would stay at the temple to protect it and pray, while the Outlaws would sneak into the settlement on the other side of the island and free the captured people. The Outlaws agreed, but elected to rest first so as to have all their spells and the like.
