Death Incarnate

Description:

The physical incarnation of death, handler of souls, and the guide to the next life. Though powerful, dark, creepy, and always voting for living things to die, Death is not malicious, nor evil. Death is a force of nature, with the only ones being able to command death, are the Higher Ones. Physically, death has many forms, wether a cold chilling feeling, a dark cloud, a shadowy ghost that looks like the classic grim reaper, or its admirable form. The true form is a stub-dressed man with slicked back black hair, black irises, teeth, and fingertips that look like they're decaying. His skin looks to belong to a corpse, being the pale white tinged blue with a couple spots of rot seen placed sporadicly. He will carry his favorite tool with him at all times (with it being able to change shape).

Personality:

In every other form, Death is quiet, slow, and thoughtful, and being very somber and philosophical, almost as if he dreads every day, every soul he takes, and dreads his own existence, only willing to do things that have a true purpose. In his 'admirable' form, he's charming, excitable, and almost like the fun uncle, except he's also very tricky, trying to get people to sign away their life, someone else's, and so on. Very devilish and acts like your friend but is your enemy. He's also an expert mixologist and an expert on alcohols and wines.

History:

Death has always existed, always been the great equalizer, and so on. But his physical body was only created as a result of the massive amount of death as well as the many different powerful energies that all took place during the Earth Reforming Calamity, making Death a very young, and very inexperienced creature without much history. Despite this, he has been seen in use in many historical moments, where people 'wielded death', or 'death was rained upon them'.

Servitude:

Death cannot be commanded except by the Higher Ones, often using Death to smite those who rebel against the Higher Ones. Some can 'command' death, but Death only listens to one day collect their soul, often in a gruesome way that is deserving of the victim. Apocrylis Sintalus has tried so hard to control Death, but Death ignores him, since Death cannot take Apocrylis Sintalus's life, causing a mutual ignoring between the two. But Death cannot reap a soul when their time hasn't arrived yet, if he does, it will cause him immense pain that will seemingly last forever. As a result, he will practically refuse to take any souls out of their time even when they beg him for it.

Calibers:

Death has many abilities, most of which carry him to be more powerful than any mortal being. Not to mention, Death cannot be killed, but Death can be beaten to submission and at a game.   Grave Blade:
Death often carries his weapon with him, in his 'admirable' form, Death carries a black cane with a gold skull on top, and in other forms, Death has a long Titanium staff that can have a massive scythe blade extend from either end, that will always deal mortal wounds (if it manages to deal any kind of direct wound). The weapon is also unbreakable, cannot be knocked out of Death's hand, and is extremely hard to block. Should a creature die at the hands of Death's weapon, their soul will immediately depart for the next life, negating any possible of abuse of the soul or bringing the individual back to life, as well as preventing any possibility of Calibers being activated on death and so on.   Soul Control:
Though he rarely uses it, he has total command of souls and spirits. When he does use it, he only uses it to guide souls to the next life, stop violent spirits, and use them as guards of sorts when applicable, or to prove a point of his power.   Binding Contract:
Death can either trick or convince an individual to sign a magical contract that must be fulfilled or else Death will immediately be able to collect their soul without repercussion. This contract cannot be burned, destroyed, or tampered with until after its completion or before signing. This will often be used to force an individual to complete a favor or mission for Death or one of his associates.      Wilting Touch:
Naturally, Death's touch will cause any plants to wilt at his fingertips or in a small radius around his feet. Though bigger plants will take much more time to fully die, and giant trees will only partially wilt and become unhealthy. He can control it to the degree of making it much stronger, though its a Caliber he resents, finding it reminding him of his hated and somber existence.

Bitter Defeat:

Many say Death cannot be beaten or escaped, but many also say Death has lost once and proven he is beatable, having let a soul he once held tightly, slip from his grasp forever, never to return to the grave. This has caused Death some bitterness, indirectly leading to his 'trickery' side that takes every attempt to gain a new soul.

Weight in Gold:

Death values souls more than anything, seeing himself grow more rich and powerful the more souls he accrues. This has caused him to revere the Soul Lanter (one of the Nexus of the Seal's) as a legendary object worth infinite wealth to him. It has also caused him to grow to hate any person or thing that can heal creatures that are dying, or bring them back from the dead, and will often make their life miserable should they enter Death's presence.  Normally a creature is assumed dead when they have zero Bio-Energy, but their body can die, but their soul will remain, this can cause the body to still function even despite mortal wounds, or

Residence & Games:

Death's home is unknown, some think in the center of the world with Earth's Heart, some think in Hell, others Heaven, and others believe Death lives everywhere. It is known that Death has a lair where he does whatever he does in his free time. Not to mention, Death also has a favorite and very simple game called Dice with Death, that Death will play with a pair of dice made from bone and spots painted on with blood. He uses this game to gain someone's soul, but if someone wins, he owes them a favor, making it a risky endeavor that many have pursued and lost their lives to.

Blood Reapers:

Due to Death being so busy, especially with the new and dangerous world, he created puppets that share in his power, known as Blood Reapers . Though they don't have near the same power as Death, they are strong enough to carry out his will with their many abilities. Where Death will take the lives of those who died peacefully, of natural causes, and so on, the Blood Reapers  will collect the souls of those who die in war, since the Blood Reapers  are more easily seen, the war prevents them from being detected. Other cases are in where violent murders happen and such, with their sudden presence being the explanation for people often being frozen in place.
