Earth's Heart

Description:

Massive and dangerous vegetation that grows in the center of the earth, taking control of the many passageways and bunkers that humanity once dwelled in. Various parts of it range quite widely, each with its usage, purposes, and so on. The plant is so massive and powerful, that anyone who draws near would feel so alive and full of energy, with some people even getting overloaded. The plant is fire, heat, burn, and lava resistant, allowing it to still control the planet's thermal system.

Sub-Parts:

  Core:
The most vital, vulnerable, and powerful portion of the Earth's Heart. It's often described as looking like a human heart, but colored green, and covered in vines, flowers, and leaves. Every time it beats (with about 1 beat per minute), the area immediately surrounding it shakes so horribly that it's impossible to stand upright on solid ground or the large vines. Its surface is slightly transparent, allowing one to see the many massive fluids and magmas passing through it. Should one cut it to the core, it will shiver and as a defense mechanism start beating 120 times per minute. It will also dump a bunch of harmful chemicals through the wound almost immediately, hopefully killing or at least injuring those who intend harm.   Tendril:
The very outer edges of the Earth's Heart, often being seeing as long vines (that range in size from a snake width, to that of a bus) that can move in almost any way. Essentially tentacles for the Earth's Heart, but their hide is textured to be grippier and tougher. They can also pop out extremely sharp, purple spikes along four different sides, either as offense or defense. Though technically they are the most common, they are also the least seen, only appearing when need be. Most common being seen on the surface when the Earth's Heart is getting riotous.   Pilletria:
The biggest portions of the Earth's Heart, often being the same width as the biggest blue whales, at the smallest. With the biggest ones going up to twice the size. They are most commonly seen as stationary, almost completely hardened vines that support massive caverns and bridge gaps. They are grown to be indestructible and withstand millions of pounds of force.   Pipe Vine:
A type of pipe that's built to be majorly hollow inside, allowing it to carry all types of liquids and molten materials. Though they aren't as tough as some of the types, they are much more flexible, allowing them to bend and weave in intricate ways. They can range from as small as a wire, to big enough to hold an average-sized human.   Thermatos:
Large giant sacks, similar in appearance to the Core, though they often hold a red/orange/yellow glow that pulses slightly. Large Pipe Vines connect to them to pump away the magma. Solid rock is placed into the sacks, slowly heating up the rocks till they become molten, this causes massive heat in the immediate area around the sacks. These sacks are responsible for all the thermal activity within the earth and how each volcano will erupt as well as where they appear.   Connosumtion:
Large fleshy bowl-like organisms that get food and such dumped into them from large Pipe-Vines. Food is trapped via either the pit's depth or teeth that close in a trap-door-like way over the pit once it's full enough. Over time the food will be digested, leaving an amount (equating to half the volume of food consumed) of crude oil, which will be pumped out and dumped into random caves and such.   Growth:
Small vines that grow like a web over all kinds of surfaces, sprouting from the ground and from Pipe-Vines and Pilletria, being thicker the closer they are to the sprout-point. These can serve as a way for Thylesia to travel further from the rest of the Earth's Heart and into hallways and buildings she couldn't reach otherwise. They can also serve as nourishing points for other plants.   Persol:
A portion of the Earth's Heart that represents its sentience (commonly known as a female woman named; Thylesia). It can walk anywhere that any part of the Earth's Heart is in, but cannot go more than 30 feet away from it. The closer she is to the Core, the stronger she is, and the further away, the weaker, with her being her weakest on the surface.

History:

The Earth's Heart first started growing in 2060 when humanity dwelled in the center of the earth. It originally was cultivated as a variety of plants to sustain humanity. However, due to some small-time experiments to make the plants more sustainable and such, as well as the massive amounts of decay and radiation seeping into the earth, some of the underground cities had their labs, gardens, and farms get overrun, resulting in the destruction of these cities and leaving no known survivors. Over thousands of years, the abandoned cities became completely controlled the Earth's Heart, making it a dangerous place to venture into. Not much changed over time except for its increase in size and it beginning to replicate much of what it saw humanity create and becoming more sentient. It also helped give birth to the first of the World Tree during the Desolation Trials.

Personality:

Though the Earth's Heart isn't considered a sentient per se or a specific character, it still holds the same sentience as any other human as well as much more knowledge due to its age and spread-out influence. Described below is the personality for the Persol part of the Earth's Heart.   She acts like a benevolent goddess, wise, calculating, and all-powerful, as well as kind and merciful. She is a little bit like William Anderson, being in constant spouting of advice. She only really speaks when necessary. Also, she is VERY Protective of any and all plant life, she does also discourage the loss and abuse of animal life, but she's not as vehement about it. She does have a habit of growing fond (if not falling in love with) heroic men, though the more youthful they are, the more she adores them. Should she meet any girl who's heroic, she will try and act like a mentor to them (especially if they have a love interest). Should one try to threaten her, 90% of the time she will laugh and kindly remark how that threat is useless against her. She never shouts unless wrathful or in battle, preferring to keep her voice no louder than above a whisper.

Forgotten Love:

Due to her being quite grown during the Desolation Trials. She was visited by William Anderson, him being one of the very first sentients that visited her. She eventually fell in love with him and sprouted the first World Tree in a place once called the Old Forest (now known as Ira's Forest). Anytime someone visits her and she hears they know William Anderson, she will (almost obsessively) ask about him and tell them to give William Anderson a message.
Type
Organic

Book Lover:

Due to her nature, Thylesia feels trapped, confined to the center of the earth. She has a strong desire to venture out and explore the entire world, experiencing it firsthand instead of people who visit her, or intel from plants and such. She also doesn't want to do it alone, since she spends almost her entire existence alone, rather she'd love to go on numerous vacations with friends and make lasting good memories. But because she is unable to do so, she lives in other worlds and makes other friends through books, which she reads obsessively. Because she has so much time, she has no new books to read and will be much more cooperative with individuals who visit her if they bring new books for her to read.

Sleepless:

Thylesia never needs to sleep, only needing to do so to recover from injuries. Besides that, she hasn't slept since the Desolation Trials, having begun her slumber in the center of it, then coming out of it a bit after. The only side affect is she has way too much time on her hands, and never has enough to do, causing her to almost go crazy with boredom. But she isn't eager to meet everyone as she once was. Due to her experiences in the Desolation Trials, she learned to be wary and make her visitors prove they are friendly before she will commune with them in a friendly way. If they prove to be dangerous, unkind, working with the demons, or other such things, she will destroy them in an instant.
