The Slivered
The Slivered are an organization dedicated to serving the King of Dianmallo and ensuring the safety and protection of the King's Sliver District. They are a lawful neutral organization, some would say lawful good, others might decry lawful evil. But no one would say that these guards are unorganized or lax in their carrying out of orders.
In recent times, this has caused some minor disputes with the new Kender race, who find themselves constantly in the jails of the Slivered. In recent months, an entire "prison system" has been constructed merely for the Kender to go when they are causing havoc. Ironically, it is less of a prison, and more what one might call a "halfling day care center". Not surprisingly, no Slivered Guard ever wants to be assigned duty there.
The organization is currently headed up by the esteemed Joush Le'Estoc, a man of finesse and order. In the absence of the King since his untimely death, Le'Estoc has made it clear that he will abdicate his power to whoever becomes king officially, but in the meantime is not willing to negotiate power and responsibility with any High Council member until official decisions have been made.
