Introduction to Duty

Duty binds every person in Aleos. No matter how chaotic a person is, or how self centered they are, duties are those things that keep them grounded. Loyalties to clans, close family, religions, guilds, lovers, cults, or personal convictions, and the obligations that form with them, drive the common folk forward. It is what gives meaning to their lives. Understanding your character bonds is a great way to give your character a reason for their adventuring, and to help choose character goals early in the campaign. Work with your DM to choose appropriate bonds for your characters.
