The Cosmos

Not to be mistaken for the Cosmos. This group is made up of 7 people who preserve and protect the lives of Celestial and Mythical Beasts from extinction. The 7 Cosmos are:

Odysseus, the God of Creation ~ The Celestial of the Moose/Elk

Herald: Asmodeus
Odysseus appeared alongside seven other gods who all represented a key element in the universe. Odysseus’ compared to other Gods remained with a more gender-neutral approach. The ability they possess is the power to appear as either male or female on a whim that fits a person’s needs, desires or general train of thought. For every person they encounter is a different appearance. At times the voice of Odysseus will break through the appearance. To mortal ears, it sounds more of a mixture of a thousand voices moulded into one. Hearing their voice for too long can make the mortal go mad and will soon die by a brain aneurysm.

Enir, the Master of Manipulation (Trickster)

Enir who is now the leader of the Zoerins and was a former lover and Cosmos alongside Odysseus. She organized an attack on Odysseus while they were out scouting out a planet known as Azeroth for a mythical beast that was hunted. The organized attack was a rouse to get Odysseus out in the open as she knew that the Celestial God could not turn away an endangered beast. Enir planned to kill Odysseus and use their influence to take over the Cosmos and turn it into a breeding ground for the mythical beasts. Odysseus found out her plan and banished her from ever returning, despite them being lovers since the beginning of time.

The Heralds

The Heralds of the Cosmos are made up of dragons formed and brought to life by the Cosmos. The Cosmos normally do not choose just anyone to possess the powers of the Herald as their power alone, can wipe out any galaxy if desired. There are qualities that a person must possess before moving forward.

The First Herald: Asmodeus

Asmodeus lived a particularly normal healthy life and was raised by his older brother Percival. Apart from being an ancient black dragon of the Azerothian world. Alongside his brother and sister-in-law; he accompanied them on jobs that would often turn violent. The trio made enemies along the planes but made the best of their lives. Because of his limited time around the people he’d meet, none were the wise when he wouldn’t age. He was gone from four to seven months of the year but never staying longer than eight. The longest he’s been away from his family or friends is a more current occurrence as he’d been considered missing or dead for the past 549 years.
Before his death, Asmodeus sent out a letter to his mate at the time, Silas Grey to meet him at a specific spot and time. He never made it, and it’s unclear if Silas had either. Before reaching his destination, he saw a fight happening between what appeared to be an elk and a human at first. Sensing the presence of the dragon, Odysseus looked back to Asmodeus and gathered who uses his most respected person in his life as his appearance. Thus, unintentionally forcing Asmodeus to attack the human.
Asmodeus reached the fight just in time and shoved Silas (Odysseus) out of the way only to take the killing blow that was meant for Odysseus. Odysseus took this opportunity to rip the power of the Cosmos from Enir, greatly wounding her and forcing her to leave the scene. Odysseus commended the dragon’s bravery and mourned the death of the man who protected him. Odysseus brought Asmodeus back to life, changing him into one of the erected Gods, but at the expense of him forgetting the man he loved.
Odysseus reigned him as the First because of his sense of bravery and a senseless act to protect those he loved. Because of his untimely death, Asmodeus is no longer considered a part of the Black Dragon flight nor a dragon. He is now considered a Celestial God and holds the same powers that Odysseus wields.
He has a personality that surprised the Cosmos and has taken a liking to the young “Herald.” Asmodeus likes to joke around, flirt but is also serious underneath all the exterior.
His scales are purple with hints of gold lining the bone cartridge and bone structure of his wings, while his scales take on a more colourful appearance when shined in the light. At the perfect time when the skies have coloured an array of colours, his scales take on an array of colours such as golds, blues, purples, pinks, etc. Just like the other Heralds, he can take on the form of the Celestial Moose/Elk, Eagle, Fox, Wolf, Tiger, anything he can particularly think of. He has the power to shift into those forms. Because of this ability, he cannot change into a normalized form of these animals only their celestial forms following after the Cosmos.

The Second Herald: Asmodeus

Amenadiel’s origins are unknown other than the fact he was the Cosmos most trusted Herald until the last 550~ or so years ago. He became a mentor to Asmodeus and took him underneath his wing and showed him the ropes of being a herald. Although he is no longer considered the First, he still has high authority over the other Heralds as well as the Guardians. Amenadiel’s preferred celestial is the wolf, given his personality. He’s stern and gets things done, Cosmos rely on him to keep new Guardian recruits in line and trained; given they can be killed more easily than a Herald.

The Guardians of the Heralds

The life of a Guardian is never an easy occupation. The Guardians job is to watch over the Herald and keep them safe. Since their involvement with the Cosmos is close, they are usually targetted by the Zoerins. Even in death, the Guardians protect their Heralds, never achieving a peaceful or quiet afterlife. Ascending to the rank of a Guardian is seen as the highest form of respect within the Aurugae, as they are closest to the Cosmos. Many families see this rank as an honour and are actively training to become the Heralds right-hand man or woman.

The First’s Guardian: Kindra

Kindra takes on the visage of the sly fox, at least her armour does. Beneath the mask, she has blue eyes that mimic the galaxies most beautiful blue tint. She shares the mark of the First Herald as she is his sworn Guardian, through life and through death.

Known Sanctuaries of the Cosmos

The Andromeda Galaxy

The Andromeda Galaxy is a safe haven tucked away in a galaxy within a galaxy. This particular Andromeda has sister planets that are all connected by one ring acting as a galaxy highway. The Andromeda’s main focus is the protection of immortal beasts. Wars against these Celestial beings have been lost in history, lost in translation. Those that remember the wars tell the tales of the war between the Cosmos and the Heralds against the Zoerins.
Odysseus formed and created the Andromeda as an escape route to preserve the lives of those within the Aurugae.

The Aurugae

The Aurugae is a cluster of planets all ringed together by a galaxy highway that connects all the planets together. The Aurugae (what the planet cluster is named after) are sanctuaries for celestial and mystical beasts and beings that were on the brink of extinction. Odysseus now calls the Aurugae his home and has since moved out of Alenseau.

Neighbourhing Galaxies created by Odysseus

Mávros Nebula

Nycthas came to Cosmos following a rumour that they can create an entire galaxy. Going on a hunch, she went in search of the Cosmos and asked them for protection. Or to at least protect her family. Cosmos agreed and granted her a galaxy.
The Mávros Nebula, also known as the black nebula, is a galaxy consisting of eight planets that rotate around one sun in a ring of dark chaotic matter. This matter is the energy force that gives one of the galaxies reigning deities, Skotádi, his strength and power over their realms. He rules it with a pernicious eye alongside his consort Nychtas whom his the mother of creation within their realm.
Before Mávros came to being they roamed the universe without purpose until Nychtas beseeched The Cosmos to grant them a galaxy of their own, to which they were gifted The Black Nebula. It remains unknown if the chaotic matter that shrouds this ring or planets was created this way design of The Cosmos, or if it was corrupted in its inception by Skotádi.

Erastés - The Lovers

Created the night Odysseus met Nycthas during a meeting of the Gods. A gift he gave the Goddess of Night for years until meeting her in person. No longer wanting it to be temporary, he made it permanent, just for her. Nycthas named the Galaxy in her native tongue with a translation of the Lovers. In Odysseus’ words, that would rival the God’s and her response was that they were rivalled and blessed.
Excerpt of the RP between Odysseus & Nycthas. "I mainly leave this one out... just... to me, it matched perfectly with the night." He reached his hands up and in his palms was a bright light but not enough to blind them. His eyes glowed with the exact colours in his palm. Overhead the sky turned black, there were no stars that accompanied the moon. It was a blank canvas. Slowly moving his right hand clockwise and turning his palm up. His left hand didn't move until the galaxy above projected onto the blanket of the night sky. At first, it just looked black and white. The stars twinkling, but his left hand moved slightly in her direction giving a soft tint of grey then he formed a cluster of stars in the top right and another on the bottom left. Towards the middle and at the top left more clusters of stars formed but not as intense as those on the top right. It was dull in comparison but still bright in its own way. Using his left hand again, he moved it up once then waved his palm upwards giving it a soft tint of blue that blended beautifully with the white and grey galaxy. In the top right, he created a bright star and made another on the opposite bottom left that were parallel to each other. For some reason, he felt it was both of them. Lowering his hands to get a clearer view and satisfied with its outcome. He closed his eyes for a moment. If she were to keep looking up towards the sky she'd see a flash of light over the sky that came from the middle of the galaxy and spread out to worlds unknown.
