Nornuria
Nornuria is a province far in the north, situated on the peninsula of the same name in the north of Ephea. It is home to the Nornurii and one of two ephean provinces, independent from the Human Empire.
The hills and mountain ranges inside the territory of the Nornurii hold a lot of mineral resources, not just gold and diamonds but also iron, salt, and other minerals. Exporting these goods to other nations, especially dwarves and elves, provides a high constant income and helps to boost the general growth and economy of the Nornurii.
Nornuria is also known for constructing and building outstanding ships. The Nornurii are outstanding seafarers and invest a lot of money and research to improve and adapt their vehicles to the water. Selling a concept or model of a ship, or even the ship itself occurs quite rarely.
History
Before the humans arrived in Nornuria, it was either empty or served as a battleground for the Elderdragons Ice and Fire. However, not much is known about Nornuria's history. In 7010 b. BF, the humans landed on the peninsula Nornuria. From that point on, the history of the province is very similar to the history of the Nornurii.Administration
Nornuria is an independent human province. That means the King of Lionstone does not influence the administration of Nornuria or its people whatsoever. Nornuria has a classical monarchy. However, the rules of the throne aren't as strict as those for the Human Empire. It is inherited by the oldest heir of the officiating king, no matter their gender or age. A ruler can forfeit his right to the throne if they so wish. If a ruler has no heir, the next ruler gets elected by the Nornurii.Economy
Due to the lack of fertile grounds, the Nornuria focussed especially on fishing and also sometimes on hunting to gather food. The flag of the Nornuria is also the flag of all Nornurii at the same time. It shows white mountains on a blue flag. A spear pierces through the mountains, representing the north and the strength of the Nornurii. The darker blue on the bottom represents the ocean, while the lighter blue on top stands for the sky, freedom, and independence.

Almost no contact
Although Nornuria and Freeland are both independent human, ephean provinces, they almost have no contact with each other. The distance between both of them is too much to allow any cooperation and Nornuria does not support the rather aggressive, offensive methods of Freeland.
Non-aggression pact, isolation, no cooperation
The Nornurii live very isolated and try not to bother with the business of the Empire. However, due to their terrible relationships in the past, Nornuria distrusts the Empire and sees them in a rather slight negative spotlight. The Empire, however, sees Nornuria as rather positive and tries to find a way to unite and integrate them into the Empire once more.
