The Black Heart

The Black Heart is an evil diety that resides on a distant homeworld of Xyxz. The Black Heart is the embodiment of hatred and corruption.

Rising to Power

The Black Heart is an ancient being, one that existed maybe even further back than Aldyn was populated. It took over its planet, absorbing every living thing into its inky blackness for hundreds of years before colonizers came and gave the Black Heart everything it needed to escape. From there it went on to conquer the Shifters, a race of animal people from a nearby planet. From there it became an empire.
The first Dark Matter Vampires were recorded sometime around 800 GS. Rumors speak of the Black Heart itself being a being made of pure dark matter and bringing them along with it. In the year 1206 GS, the Kenku were brought into the empire. In 1642 GS, a large group of Aasimar were corrupted to its side and spiritual warfare began with The One Above All.

Aldyn Threat?

By the modern day, the Black Heart has become an all encompassing being. It has extreme power over its subjects, seeing through all of their eyes whenever they call upon it for power and speaking to them while they sleep, demanding control whenever it sees the greatest potential to corrupt. The Senate has refused to formally declare opposition to the Black Heart because it does have some connections with other hostile groups in the universe, but Aldyn does have in place a number of safeguards, assuming that the Black Heart will one day attack.
