Nu

Nu is a largely-oceanic planet that is home to many of the water-living races in Aldyn. Less than 4% of the planet is land, the vast majority is water, with large underwater civilizations that have been built over centuries, through the century long conflict of The Endless War Over Nothing. Nu is known for its beauty and all the wealth that can be found on its underwater surface. The planet is plentiful in resources, highly used in trade routes, but also large and in many places unpoliced.

Position In Space

Nu is the forth planet from Aldyn's sun, coming right after Lurus in solar order. Nu is home to many of the space stations of the system, 2 of its own moons, and a mini asteroid belt just following the planet, all making use of the strong but highly habitable gravity of the planet. It's larger than the other inhabited planets in the system and far more moderate, with mostly breathable air, minimal ice or extreme heat, and tons of drinking water (albeit mostly salt water, but that's been solved by now).

Wartorn Regions

The Grung and Locathahs, the two largest race populations in Nu, have been in a cultural war for a hundred and fifty years, the war often called The Endless War Over Nothing. This conflict has been through a huge number of treaties which have attempted to limit the area of conflict, but there's still a sizeable chunk of the planet that has rotating war zones and is poorly policed, leading many illegal mining and drilling groups to sneak into the territory.

Diverse World

Nu is incredibly diverse, featuring the Grung, Locathahs, and Tritons as major races as well as dozens of minor races, such as Sea Elves and Sahuagin. Coral and numerous sea plants cover the bottom ocean floor and hundreds of sea creatures live on the planet and are used for dozens of major cuisines. The planet's regions sometimes seem completely different to each other, with such the great span of room creating totally seperate cultures and ecosystems despite the shared water body.
