Zerath the Bronze Flame

Sir Zerath Baskareus (a.k.a. Z, Zer)

Zerath Baskareus, otherwise known as "Zerath the Bronze Flame", was a bronze Dragonborn knight and a paladin who served as a Knight Argent of Sonora and eventually Royal Protector to the royal family. He was eventually succeeded by his apprentice and pupil, Sir Theòmarst MacCloud.

Personal history

Zerath's most notable act as a Knight was his combating and eventual victory against Dominus Zahm the Feybane during the War of the Southern Storm. After Amen the White had been slain in the Elves' attempt to protect their own homeland, King Devlin Sonora forged an alliance with them that would have his forces enter into the fray from the east in exchange for the transferring of ownership of the northmost elven lands to the human kingdom, which would become the region of Grynn. As such, Zerath and his squadron, the Bronze Legion, led the charge against the Orcs from the right flank and split their unsuspecting forces into two, flanking the northern half back into the Orcish Take while the southern half was culled entirely. The combat with Zahm saw Zerath lose his right ear and horn, but he would slay the Feybane and claim his fey-killing Axe, "Elfincleaver" for himself, at the urging of his legion and the king incase the elves backed off their deal.
