The Knights Ardent

The Knights Ardent, otherwise known as the Golden Knights or now known as the Knights Argent, were the original incarnation of ancient warriors and knights serving under the various human kingdoms before they were unified into the human Kingdom of Sonora. Serving in Cyria, Tyriad, Barristan, Doran, and Urth'aile, most lay claim of protection to the lords who knighted them, but most were cut-throat mercenaries who fought for whichever king paid them the most. Most Knights had gold trim added to their armor to signify their station, but the wealthiest often had their suits formed wholly of gold. It wasn't until Azran Sonora took over that the Knights Ardent were disbanded and reformed into the Knights Argent, made to serve justice and honor.

Disbandment

The Knights Ardent were disbanded when the Sonorans took over the human kingdoms, reforming into the modern-day Knights Argent.
