the Admimain

 

The Admimain, better known as the Plashin Inn, is an inn built near the center of the Plashin Pass of the Plashin Range of mountains on the major continent of Ethae. Despite its remote location, Plashin Inn is one of the most famous inns across Novyum. It has a reputation of being the home of adventure. At one point or another most adventuring parties in Novyum found themselves at the inn. Legends and lore aside, the reason for this, as with most thing, is far more practical than one might expect. Plashin Inn stands as the lone inn of the only real pass between the Heartlands in the west and Slavyum in the east. After several days of grueling mountain travel, everyone on the pass stops for a roof over the head, a warm bed, and a hot meal.

 

The inn itself is a four-story building made of stone and timber. The first floor, slightly recessed into the ground houses the kitchens, supplies and staff rooms. The main floor, encircled in a porch, is a tavern and dining hall, with a primary open hall and private rooms for those with the coin to afford it. The third and fourth floors are the sleeping quarters. The third floor is built with private one or two bed rooms, and the fourth and open space lined with beds for those that cannot afford the private spaces. Aside from the barn and stables, which are located near the inn, several additional small huts have been added in recent years to provide a cheaper alternative to rooms inside the inn.

 

There were once estimated to be half a dozen hot spring pools around the land of the inn, on two remain. These two have timber walls built around them, with gardens and a divided into separate male and female spaces. The water from the other springs have been channeled and redirect to the inn for internal hot water baths and other needs.

 

The inn his home to several Airkna Stone. These standing stones are placed on the inns ground warming the air of the land. The Airkna have had a strange effect on the region. Being placed in a circle around the land of the inn has had a calming effect to those within the circle. Tavern brawls, so common elsewhere, are rare in Plashin Inn. The innkeepers are always looking for information from travelers on location of other Airkna. They have on more than a few occasions, hired adventurers to retrieve these stones for the inn.

 

HISTORY

 

During the creation of Plashin Pass by the United Kingdoms of Novyum, fortresses were built along the path, each a day's ride from the other. These fell into ruin with the decline of the United Kingdoms, many crumbled and lost completely to history. These ruins remained waypoints along the pass for camps, including the Admimain ruins on the site of the future Plashin Inn. Of these, the Admimain site seemed to hold a special place in travels heart, due to the hot springs most likely. Eventually, a permanent structure was built, several in total until the current inn's foundations were laid with the stones of the old Novya fort.
