Jerai
the Founders of the South
The Jerai were a culture of Human that dwelt in Southern Jerain in the prehistoric periods of history. Dates are hard to determine, due largely, because the Jerai written word, a rune-based system, has never been able to be translated, and what text there is s also very limited, and largely found in the form of stone carvings on rocks and building bricks.
The Jerai are believed to be the descendants of the Awadri people that migrated south prior to the Na Boon Super Volcano eruption. Their culture survived in many small tribal groups throughout the Southern Jerain region well into the Valmon Age. After which they seemed to solidify into the three major cultural groups of Southern Jerain, theSesphel, Los, and Madradi.
We only know of these people thanks to the many monolithic ruins scattered across South Jerain, that are attributed to them. They also heavily factor into the folklore of the southern cultures of Jerain, which give some insight to these people.
