Archbishop
Lords of the Faith
In the Northern Trijan Church archbishops are political clergy that lead a Diocese. They have complete authority and oversight of their diocese. The role is granted by the Ponti of the faith and is for life. This position is traditionally only held by married male members of the clergy. The archbishop's wife must be a priestess of the Church for him to be considered for the position.
Archbishop is one of the 'political' positions of the Church, like the Cardinalis and the Ponti, meaning they do not work with the public in churches or temples. These members of the Church's ranks are considered the liaison between the Ponti and the kings, nobles, and warlords with their diocese.
Archbishops wear burgundy robes. Aside from the robe colors denoting their role in the Church, archbishops where the burgundy skullcap denoting rank in the Church.
