The Ascetic Warriors are underground fighters living within the confines of the land of
Appollonia (see
Azurites). Some Ascetic warriors started as Appollonian citizens who accepted their psionic nature and removed themselves form Appollonian society, some are devote warriors who migrated to Appollonia to help others in their fight against the tyrannical magocracy. Regardless, Ascetic Warriors are devoted to their cause and will stop at nothing to help those who call for them. Ascetic Warriors have honed their body along with the mind and have developed powerful martial techniques to use in their fight. Ascetic Warriors never build temples of monasteries, instead they teach as they campaigning feeling that there is no greater instructor than threat of death and injury. Ascetic warriors crave adversity; they live for the fight and no one gives them a greater challenge than their ages old foe, the “martial mage - insert paths of power martial artist mage.” A victory against a martial mage is considered the highest achievement.
These mysterious, self-reliant warriors are a force to be reckoned with. They keep their abilities and rituals in strictest secrecy. The Ascetic Warriors employ strange and often foreign fighting techniques, weapons, and customs. They are recognizable by their shaven heads, bare feet (even when crossing burning desert sands), spartan garb, and the tattoo of a Blue dragon on their chests.

The Ascetic Warrior is a mysterious being who generates awe from the peasantry because of their secrecy and rare skill. His martial and mental prowess coupled with his quiet, self-reliant nature make him an unfathomable adversary.

Special Benefits
The Ascetic Warrior is able to learn and train “Tao's Dragon" (Choy-Li-Fut Kung Fu) as if he were a single class fighter. Ascetic Warriors train this martial art exclusively.
Ascetic Warriors are immune to scrying (from hermetic "mage" magic). They can conceal others (1 person every two levels; duration is 24 hours) as well.
Special Hindrances
Ascetic Warriors never wear armor, as it goes against their code of self-reliance.
As mentioned above, the Ascetic Warrior must use half his weapon proficiencies, including any bonus proficiencies due to high Intelligence, on recommended weapons or unarmed combat skills.
The Ascetic Warrior must donate all excess starting money and all monies gained, beyond normal living expenses, to his order or to needy recipients.
He may keep one of each type of magical item that he is able to use by his class and kit (i.e., one ring, one wand, one weapon, etc., but no armor), and must donate all others that are his share of treasure to his order or to the needy. The “needy” mentioned above never refers to other PCs, not even other PC members of the Ascetic Warrior’s order.
