Al Vingaar, God of All Evil Character in Alcirya | World Anvil

Al Vingaar, God of All Evil

In the creation story, He is the "Third" and, while he is not as powerful, outright, as Palanos, his putrification seeps into all aspects of the world.

Al Vingaar is the god of all things divined to be evil or evil intended. As an Old God, he is essentially irrelevant to today's people and is not actively worshiped except by the anachronistic or obscure sects.

Al Vingaar's depiction is largely that of the outcast, the forlorn, the forgotten, and the vengeful. Al Vingaar's evil is not viciousness for the sake of it, though that does not preclude his followers from feeling that way, it is the maliciousness that flows from jealousy and powerlessness and the desire to poison (or corrupt) or usurp those that have what they feel they lack. While these feelings aren't inherently evil, Al Vingaar (ad thus his followers) serve the self at the cost of all others and are never satiated regardless of how much they have.

Al Vingaar is served by Baatu, H'rod, and Du'Makh and the titans that follow them as well.

Like all the Old Gods, Al Vingaar is a far more abstract quantity and, thus, has no particular plane of existence, rather, his presence is felt in all things as they work their evil/corruption in the world. He is, essentially, infinitely powerful and has no need of material objects.
