Protectors

Protectors are mercenaries that can be hired out for certain objectives mainly getting one or more people to a certain place and back again, these objectives are called quests. Protectors are hired out at a Protectors Guild for a fee. Once the quest has been completed they return back to their guild. During the quest the Protector may go to a Blacksmith's to get a Dagger of Request, to give to their charge. Once their change gets the dagger, this means, on their return to the Guild they can have the same Protector, if they are available.
Protectors can be hired through a letter of recommendation, by going into a guild or through a contract if the quest is ongoing.

Composition

Manpower

This is usually an individual for larger groups there is more than one protector.

Equipment

Protectors use a range of equipment and it is their choice of them which item of equipment or amour they use and wear. These are medevial in nature.

Vehicles

Often in quests, the Protector and their charge will use a carriage or walk with their charge.

Structure

There is only rank or protector the only determining factor is time, through them being in the role the longest.

Training

The Guild Halls hare equiped with training dummies they can train on. At the begining of their memebership they are taken on a trip to the wilderness, in which they fight something. The person with them will assess how they react and what needs to change.

Logistics

Upkeep

The upkeep of a Protector is paid from the money recieved by the Guild, through their services. Their armour and weapons comes out of their pay through their choice. Food and drink are provide to them by the Guild but they can opt to have meals in taverns. It is their charge on quests, that pay for their meals as a sign of courtesy. The Dagger of Request comes out of the Protector's funds

Recruitment

Recruitment is through choice and the ability to fight. Upon being recuited they are taken on a trip in the wilderness to see their fighting style and what needs to be improved.
