Seeth and Pip
Early Life
Seeth was born in A372 and raised in The Arid Crown Mountains with her twin sister, Ashira, their older brother, and their parents. Fleeing an impending Imperial invasion to protect their son from conscription, the family lived modestly, herding goats and trading their products in Sarkarth. It soon became evident that Seeth and Ashira possessed magical gifts: Ashira commanded the rare and revered power of fire, while Seeth could heal physical wounds. Their abilities complemented one another, with Seeth frequently tending to Ashira’s burns as they honed their talents.The Goblin Raid
By A377, goblin activity in the Arid Crown Mountains had surged, with daily sightings and a steadily dwindling goat herd. Fearing for their safety, Seeth’s father sent her brother to Sarkarth to sell the herd and fund a move to Syrena. However, the goblins, angered by the loss of their easy prey, launched a nighttime attack. Ashira and their parents fought to defend their home, but Seeth, timid as always, fled into the night. An arrow struck her arm as she escaped, forcing her to use her healing magic to tend her wound while she hid. At dawn, she returned to find her home reduced to ashes and her family gone. Among the ruins, she discovered an injured goblin. Overcome with rage, she raised a rock to strike it down, but hesitated when it conjured a small flame in its palm—a power reminiscent of Ashira’s gift. Grief-stricken and conflicted, Seeth chose to heal the goblin instead. This unexpected act of mercy forged a strange and fateful bond.A Child of War
At just five years old, Seeth and her goblin companion, Pip, journeyed north into The Gift, where they encountered a Sy’ill regiment. Though the soldiers tried to kill Pip, Seeth intervened, and they begrudgingly spared him. Seeth’s infected arrow wound led to the loss of her arm, but her healing abilities caught the attention of the regiment’s doctor, who took her to the frontlines. For a year, Seeth tended to wounded soldiers while Pip acted as her protector. In A379, after The Empire conquered The Gift, the regiment retreated to the Sy’ill Highlands. Seeth was then sent to the Sy’ill High Mage Academy to further her training. At the Helioluna High Mage Academy, Seeth honed her healing abilities under expert guidance, with Pip always at her side. In A394, at age 21, she graduated as a Novice and immediately traveled west to the war-torn frontlines, aiding civilians caught in the conflict. When the war ended a year later, Seeth and Pip continued their work, traveling across Albotric and offering their gifts wherever needed. Their reputation grew, and by A402, Seeth became one of the first 200 people invited to join the fledgling Guild of Heroes.The Guild of Heroes
In A403, Seeth experienced an emotional reunion with her twin sister, Ashira, who had also joined the Guild of Heroes. Despite the years and hardships that had passed, their bond rekindled. While Ashira pursued bold and fiery exploits befitting her nature, Seeth continued her quieter, yet no less impactful, path of healing and compassion. When not adventuring, she can often be found in the Guild’s infirmary, tending to injured comrades or teaching aspiring healers the nuances of her craft. Despite her reserved demeanor and preference for solitude, Seeth is held in high regard by her peers, admired for her quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and the unlikely but heartwarming friendship she shares with Pip.
