Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Meso-Ectomorph build. Because of Calvin's professions, social life and hobbies he keeps himself physically fit. He is normally seen with an athletic build to him, sporting muscular elements across his body, particularly in his arms. How Calvin holds himself socially varies from situation to situation. Around those he is unfamiliar with, he will retain a typically polite and well kept posture, as if on display. However once he gains comfort around others, or no longer cares, he will happily be far more relaxed in his posture, typically holding a tilt or leaning pose to his body.

Facial Features

Upon a glance, Calvin does not appear to be anything special regarding his facial appearance, however upon spending time in his presence, more and more features make themselves known. His dark brown hair always seems like the sun is gently reflecting from it, giving a naturally sunkissed hue. His eyes appear to be deep purple and almost feintly glow or merely reflect the light around him, all the while sometimes looking like chunks of perfectly polished amethysts. Additionally, a set of two scars lay diagonally across his left eye, clearly made many years ago and have healed over, leaving skin in a slightly different pigment.

Identifying Characteristics

Calvin is easily identifyable by his gleaming purple eyes that look like amethysts, and his two diagonal scars across his left eye.

Commonly seen with slight bags under his eyes, as if he doesn't sleep as well, or as often, as he should.

If Calvin is known for one thing, it's his protectiveness. Once you make a friend of Calvin, he will do what he can to ensure you're safe and in a good mood. Cal has been known to commonly take this protection slightly too far and initiating fights on behalf of his friends. Even to those he isn't aquainted with, Calvin will typically recognise a situation where someone is in need of protection or even company in that moment, and will attempt to help them. Typically this was seen in Gallberdean by his helping younger students being bullied by seniors, or those who are on the verge of tears over assignments.

Vices & Personality flaws

While not a flaw in itself, Calvin is a casually confident man, seemingly exhibiting a "carefree" attitude. While this can change in a heartbeat, this attitude seemingly extends to many parts of his life, specifically regarding intimate relations with others, causing him to happily partake in casual relationships where he can. He always passes this on as just living life to the fullest, but to those who know him can tell that this longing for intimacy could well be a method of coping.

Personality Quirks

While unknown if this truly has any effects on Calvin, he appears to have an avoidance to prolongued periods in bright light, sometimes even claiming he gets headaches from the light. While it has never really negatively affected him, in his personal time Calvin will usually be found within dark or candlelit rooms going about his business. His darkvision helps him function in these dark environments, but will usually employ very dim lights to keep the room as dark as possible, while still being able to see colour through his sight.

Despite his hobbies and personal love of blacksmithing, crafting, and tinkering, Calvin goes to great lengths to keep as immaculate hygiene as possible, seemingly raised to keep up good appearences no matter the circumstance.

Hjalborn Hjaltisson (?) - Close friend made at Gallberdean, treats him like a younger brother. Is absolutely the annoying older brother/mum friend of the two, always keeping him looked after.

Mannerisms

Similarly shown in his physique, Cal is almost always polite and courtious to those is unfamiliar with, and particularly friendly to those he finds attractive. Once someone has gotten to know Cal he will normally start to drop the well-kept mannerisms, and while still being polite and friendly, is far more casual and carefree in his attitudes, similar to letting his guard down. When Cal starts to act this way, it is an incling that he likes you.

Hobbies & Pets

Blacksmithing. Crafting. Tinkering. Creation. Those are Calvin's hobbies, anything that allows him to physically create something, he has most likely partaken in. While maybe not as talented to create art with paint, or sculptures with stone, given a forge and metal- Calvin will happily spend hours crafting all kinds of contraptions, weapons or armour- Functional or not.
