Udenskyos
The Udenskyos is a genetic modification process used by the inhabitants of Havren, who have settlements along the eponymous estuary and tidal pools. They implant in their bodies the genes of jellyfish from the Aurelian genus, which modifies their genetic makeup and gives them life-restoring abilities. It also however, heavily modifies the body itself and sometimes mutations can result.
Utility
Havren peoples have been using gene therapy and selective breeding due to the sheer amount of toxic pollutants in their water and crops- they live in a miasmic area similar to Pestilentia. This has allowed them only to survive with advancements unknown to most outsiders, but there is no infrastructure in place to grow it to something widespread. This leaves Udenskyos very insular to the communities which process it.
However, often younger members of the families will draw in unsuspecting humans and make them their permanent servants or companions using the Udenskyos. They will use it to selectively breed courts or armies, which becomes highly unethical.

Access & Availability
It is not widely available and is a closely guarded process which only certain aristocratic tribes of scientists know how to use. Because of this, they have recruited many warriors and have strong armies. They are very selective on who they give it to, and those with religious vocation or knowledge are typically selected. Some alchemists have created imperfect clones of this gene therapy and can allow the user to live for longer lifespans.
Complexity
The genes do not begin working until the human undergoes large hormonal changes in the body, such as starting/leaving puberty. This can be sped up in adulthood with hormone therapy, which is a commonly sought out treatment by many humans in the area due to chromosomal issues and infertility rates from pollution.
Inhabitants of Havren typically have their children undergo Udenskyos treatment just before puberty, but in some older clans and families the gene passes on naturally.
