Mother’s Blessing

The Mother’s Blessing refers to a child who was stolen by a non-human species (typically an Ephemera) with the purpose of raising it. This is a punishable offense in the Clockmakers, in which the child is branded to discourage other parents from fraternizing with Ephemera or illegally adopting.
