Latrodectes

The Latrodectes are a tribe of Arakhne peoples who live in the northwestern part of Aranea. They often interact with the West Belanos and integrate into their societies. They get along much better than the East Belanos and the Dolomedes.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Because of this the Latrodectes are unique in that they don't busy their dead underground but rather above ground decorated with leaves. They wait until the body decomposes or is scavenged by animals- if the body does not get eaten by an animal it's said the person suffered from a lot of soul-debt, and those who become torn by animals were reborn peacefully.
