Adventuring in the Seleset Republic

Built upon the ruins of the Kirant civilization, the Kingdom of Mainyth quickly spread from Kirathis through the cities of the Feldwind Peninsula.  It bought peace and safety to its citizens for centuries, eventually expanding eastward into the Ashfall Mountains.  But the Kingdom grew corrupt in its lust for power.  It began to expand its borders by force and marched against the elves of Ellsenor, seeking their riches.  But the elves are not so easily conquered.  Allying themselves with dissident groups throughout the Kingdom, the first blows of the Tyrant Wars began.  Now, years later, the Kingdom of Mainyth has fallen and the Primarch has gone into hiding.  A council has been elected from the populace and The Seleset Republic is born.
But, soldiers still loyal to the king, known as the Red Hand, continue to struggle against this new republic.  Goliath herds roam the grasslands east of the hills.  Wild men come down from the Reynir Dominion to raid villages in the Ashfall Mountains. And, perhaps most dangerously, the creatures of the Wild continue to endanger the lives of citizens of the Republic.  Even the smallest of villages erect walls to protect themselves.  Most children are taught from a young age to protect themselves.
