Shrines of the Celestial Sovereign

Structure

Each of the shrines maintains a distinct & preserved lineage to their original priests. Each priest is the 8th child of the current priest. Each of the eight children have roles to fill in supporting the temple before they become adults but only the eighth child continues their service at the shrine until the ascend to the role of priest. This usually happens after having their first child.

Sects

Shrines are filled with long tables meant for joyous feasts and large gatherings. Each shrine holds a small display of eight tiny chairs meant for each of the gods. The children of the priests wear different color tunics under their robes to denote their place in the birth order. Each day the children of the area attend a class taught by the first child going over sacred scriptures, tales of the gods, understanding world news, and practical life skills.
