Buren

The Beacon of Empyrean Paradise

As the god deemed to design what Paradise should be like, it is said that Buren discarded their normal comforts and had traveled the realms four times to observe the hardships of life. First as a companion animal, second as one to be persecuted, third as one of the average, and finally on their fourth trip they traveled as one that is spoiled. Each life progressed easier but no could be called paradise. Buren found that designing paradise was not a solo mission and thus split it between each god for their respective followers. Their own task was something that they needed to quarter to succeed. Teased by some other gods as the laziest. As god of both the ones to overwork and underwork, Buren provides aid to both in the forms respite & inspiration respectively.

Once asleep, the dreamer may dream walk in their own dream. While within the dreamscape, if one finds pillow door with a bed frame for a door frame, it is possible for them to actively enter or watch the Thunderdome & remember it in its entirety.

Holidays

The Open Hearth is Buren’s main festival. On this day every season and four times in Spring, the doors of each of Buren’s Assemblies open to provide housing for those new to the town or area to rest easily. The newcomers are given access to an extravagant resting area and are able to relax. While this goes on, the Rest Ploughs go to work securing and completing any tasks that are necessary for the newcomer(s) to move successfully into the community. The new home if left with any remaining legal matters is resolved, and any items brought are set up within the home. For the travelers that arrive with nothing and without a place to go, the Rest Ploughs will allow them continued stay within the halls as they start to design & build a homestead for the transient. The purpose of the Open Hearth is to allow those that choose to change their life as spring brings life to feel a sense of recovery after going through what can be an arduous process.
