Lord's Council
Structure
The Lord's Council is made up of 25 members. 24 Lords and 1 High Lord. Lords usually serve on the council for life though may step aside if they wish or in rare cases be stripped of their rank by majority vote from the rest of the council.
When a position becomes available any council member may nominate someone as a candidate for that role. The council then votes on these nominees with the winner being granted the title of Lord and a seat on the council.
The council is headed by a High Lord who is selected from among the council members and serves that role until their death.
Traditionally roles on the council are filled by those of significance within the city for example each of the six religions usually has one of their members granted a position on the council. There is however no requirements on who can or cannot be nominated to the council so technically any citizen could become a member if they can gain enough sway with the council to be nominated and voted in.
