Akram

The world of Kelsurra was once a thriving world with many great kingdoms and cities. Among the greatest of what Kelsurra had to offer was the city of Akram. Akram was a tiered city and an architectural marvel as each of the tiers sat directly above the other rather than being stepped. Magical lighting was wide spread in the city and large spires were built to hold the tiers up and keep them from collapsing upon one another.

Then just over four centuries ago the world was changed for ever. An apocalyptic even known only as The Cataclysm brought Kelsurra to ruin. In the wake of The Cataclysm, civilization managed to survive in the form of Akram, as the city through methods unknown took to the sky to survive.

Akram has become known as The Last Bastion both because it is the last holdout of the old world and because old and powerful magic protects it from the horrors of the world below. Life on the surface world goes on and new settlements and would be kingdoms are forming but it is a harsh life compared to that of the citizens of Akram. Akram Rangers patrol the lands beneath the city keeping them safe while exploring the new world they find below. Akram has claimed itself surface territories and slowly grows its influence on the surface.
