Caburh Despotate
The land of the Caburh Despotate is one of the oldest locations in Akeroth and is best known as the Land of Dread. Originally a location in a forgotten world of the Prime Material plane, the entire valley was transported into the Shadow mists controlled by evil entities known as the Dark Powers. The realm currently stands as a prison for its dark lord, the vampire Lisandra von Treznor.
Geography
Almost the entire land consisted of densely forested rough terrain, with sheer cliffs and outcroppings. Few areas were easily traversable, and it was always dangerous to stay off the road. Winters were usually long and bitter.
The sky of Caburh is permanently overcast with storm clouds. Even during the brightest hours of the day, the light was unnaturally muted and dimmed and did not affect normally sensitive creatures such as vampires. In many locations, the mists partially or completely obscured vision.
The land is located between New Erwick, Aslana Deserts and the Republic of Hyhill to the East and The Vortex to the south. The evergreen forest of Hyhill covered the entire east of the land before the prison wall was created. At the center of the valley, south of the deserts of Aslana, stood a large lake known as Lake Treznor.
