Session 12: Third Time's the Charm Report

General Summary

Once Uthal was revived, the party conferred, and decided they hadn't gotten enough information to quit. While they rested, one of Cyanwrath's guards walked past, searching the area. Uthal admitted he couldn't take Cyanwrath alone, so the whole party joined in the fight this time - and this time, they greased the passageway and lit it on fire, forcing Cyanwrath and his bodyguard to walk through fire to get to the party, and they were easily taken out.
With Cyanwrath out of the way, the party returned to the room to find a shrine to Tiamat, with evil dragons carved on the walls. Black dragons were curiously overrepresented, and upon further investigation, the party realized that the black dragons' mouths were all carved into holes - likely for a trap of some kind, presumably the one behind the chest's locking mechanism. So they proceeded past the chest for now and entered another room, this one dark, with another pit in it similar to the one where they met the guard drakes.
The party was ambushed by kobolds as they tried to investigate, and Uthal was repeatedly netted in webs, but they defeated the kobolds handily.
