Malakesh

Malakesh, The Sorcerer, Lord of Katrach, or just Malkesh, is only a man. Or at least once he was. Malakesh has since 1300 AR ruled The County of Katrach from Katrach Castle, though he leaves most governing to his right hand man, Thurh Stygesson. Instead of ruling, Malakesh has been obsessed with a ritual he is preparing. He believes he will conduct a ritual which will grant him immense power from another shard of The Magician of Old. The truth however, is not quite so.   Background
Malakesh was once an apprentice, and before that a slave. He was sold to his wizard master, and would then be tormented by the wizard for years on end. He was never a true prodigy, though he had some talent in the arcane arts.   Eventually, as the pair was excavating a dungeon of old, which would turn out to be one of the lair's of The Magician of Old, Malakesh decieved his master. He stole the artifact which the shard of the soul inhabited, and killed his master.   With this, he became fully possessed by the shard of The Magician of Old, and since then he has done what he can to achieve the goals of the artifcact, even if he believes them to be his own. The Magician of Old needed Malakesh to take Katrach, as he needed a place where he could have Malakesh conduct the ritual to replace himself.   The Magician of Old sees the possibility of a replacement as a great oppertunity, it would after all mean that he could take his time and find a host truly worthy of him. On the other hand, Malakesh loves the feeling that he's in charge. He treats everyone he meets poorly, and he loves to boast of his great achievements.

Social

Social Aptitude

Malakesh is very uncharismatic. He is rude, and cares little for grace. Since becoming Lord of Katrach he has become insufferable in many ways.

Mannerisms

Malakesh is in many ways like a child. Except this one holds power few could dream of. He makes threats often, talks of his grand understanding, and pushes other people down, making them seem insignificant. He loves to boast and brag of his great feats and arcane talent.
