Avalore, the Goddess of Death
The Raven Queen
Daughter to the Primordials Mitera and Pateras, Avalore is the Primordial Goddess of Death, and twin sister to Afrid, the Goddess of Life. Sometimes, she is simply known as the Raven Queen. Often depicted as a silver haired aasimar, with pale skin and large, angelic wings, along with a silver halo, and is often draped in a long, dark, hooded robe. Although not as well worshipped as her twin, Avalore is as well known, but, due to her close association with ending the lives of mortals, many are not comfortable with the idea of worshipping such a deity. This has not stopped certain groups; however, as the Drow of the Underdark city of Avalencia have made Avalore their patron Goddess.
