Leshen

Basic Information

Anatomy

Varying by subspecies but being somewhat humanoid in appearance, leshen are a plantlike group of creatures with bark-like flesh and often having multiple branch or root-like limbs.

Genetics and Reproduction

Leshen reproduce in the springtime by “sprouting”, creating seed-pods that will grow into their adult counterpart.

Growth Rate & Stages

Different leshen have different growth rates but most seem to reach maturing in 1-2 years time.

Ecology and Habitats

Leshen are found in many of the more verdant locations; Forrest’s, jungles, etc. some have been encountered in more rugged areas as an adaptation of the parent species.

Most species of leshen hold a bestial intelligence with a proven ability to use strategy and hunting tactics.

While limited in intelligence, some subspecies of leshen show the ability to control some form of primal magic.
