Thal'Azar, The Abyssal Pulse

Ancient and unfathomable, Thal'Azar is the Titan of Water—a primordial being born of the first oceans, older than the gods themselves. He is the rhythmic pull of the tides, the silence of the ocean trench, the drowning roar of the maelstrom. Vast beyond comprehension, his body is said to span the deepest parts of the Azure Ocean, with coral-encrusted limbs coiling through ancient currents and barnacle-thick eyes that watch from the gloom below.

Thal'Azar is neither cruel nor kind, but inexorable—he embodies the memory of the sea, the weight of pressure, and the eternity of erosion. His thoughts are slow as tectonic shifts, his wrath patient but overwhelming. Entire islands have vanished beneath rising tides whispered to be his sighs; fleets have disappeared in sudden tempests said to be his dreams stirring.

To sailors, pearl-divers, and the coastal folk of Amoxis, Thal'Azar is worshiped and feared. His name is invoked in blessings and curses alike. Some revere him as the great cleanser, the bringer of rain, and guardian of life’s waters. Others see him as the final flood, the devourer of light. His loyal few—known as The Brinebound—seek him in dreams, whispering prayers into seashells or diving into the darkest waters to leave offerings in his name.

His realm is believed to be the Coiling Abyss, a place beneath even the reach of the gods, where gravity warps, time drowns, and all things are slowly forgotten. Ancient beings slumber there beside him—leviathans and lost titans—and it is said that the deepest trenches echo with his slow, thunderous heartbeats.

During The Fracture War, Thal'Azar stirred but once, and that one stirring summoned a tidal wave that ended a conflict before it began. His allegiance remains unknown, for he moves according to forces beyond divine reckoning. When he is silent, the ocean is still. When he dreams, storms gather. When he awakens—worlds drown.
