Diemos, The Rat Lord
Cunning, calculating, and ever-hungry for dominion, Diemos is the Animal Lord of rats and one of the most elusive members of The Betrayer Beasts. Unlike his more brutal counterparts, Diemos did not join the Betrayers for chaos or carnage—but for power. He sought to expand his influence, turning every alley, sewer, and shadowed crevice into an extension of his reach. With sly words and darker schemes, he manipulated the tides of The Fracture War to his benefit, playing friend and foe alike.
Diemos was the second to unleash a Lycanthropy curse upon the world—the curse of the wererat—spreading it through disease, bargains, and silent infiltration. His actions drew the immediate wrath of Tagyn, Goddess of Beasts, who viewed his betrayal as a grotesque perversion of the balance she created. Despite being banished along with the rest of the Betrayer Beasts, Diemos has never stopped plotting, whispering into the ears of mortals and Beastfolk alike from the darkness.
Diemos is also known for his pivotal role in the evolution of beastfolk into the ratfolk, marking one of the earliest engineered splinters in beastfolk lineage. From the sewers of ancient cities to the cursed warrens of forgotten lands, his legacy festers and spreads.
