Shankhor horse

Bred only by the Taichor family in the Khairluutian empire, shankhor horses are very difficult to come by. They are prized for their prowess as warhorses, as well as for their beautiful appearance; while they are not notably large, they are very muscular and have thick mains and tails.
Very few are ever sold, and so when they are, they are exorbitantly expensive. Rather than being sold, they are more often given as diplomatic gifts to other rulers or members of nobility.
Their name in Dwarven translates to 'falcon horse.'

Anatomy

They average 15-16 hands tall, and are most commonly black, but also come in smoky black, seal brown, and black with silver dappling.

Some Khairluutian soldiers believe that horses with white socks are more lucky than those without; the more white socks, the better luck they'll have.
