Thosis

Thosis was unusual among the sky-cities of Titanis in that it was never a place for anyone to live in. It was the necropolis of the empire, created after the coming of time to Aiaos as a place where the now-mortal Titans could be laid to rest in honour and dignity, but out of sight of their still-living kin.
Only a small number of Titans ever lived on Thosis, the Wardens of the Necropolis. The rest of Titanic society deemed them tainted by their association with the dead, and so they dwelt in isolation, devoted to the dead and the maintenance of the city. After the fall of Titanis, the remaining Wardens kept to their duty, protecting the necropolis, but they had always depended on the other cities for supplies. Despite their best efforts to adapt, they could not become self-sufficient. One by one, the Wardens died, but death did not always end their devotion, and some of them still walk the streets of the necropolis, defending the mausoleums against would-be tomb robbers.
