Sonvada

Those Featherfolk known as sonvada retain their proud wings and proud voices. The Courier Guilds of the High Eeries maintain strict control of sonvada society, and work tirelessly to maintain the cultural orthodoxy named after their gods, the Dance of Winds.
Culturally, the sonva maintain their role as messengers, couriers and merchants. The focus of their culture is in the platform cities of the High Eeries, where they maintain the Great Fleet. They have enclaves across Aiaos which serve as courier bureaus and communities, organising messenger flights and serving as embassies from the Eeries, thus looking out for the good of all aarakocra while also maintaining the Eeries’ cultural hegemony. They use their skycraft as a long-range alternative to self-powered flight, in the same way that terrestrial races use carriages.
