Shackle of Allies

Unlike the other Legions, the 6th was not intended to operate as an army. Instead, its maniples and cohorts were dispersed to act as the upper command structure of the Horde, the vast auxiliary force of allied and, more often, enslaved fighters from the regions conquered by the Legions. Over time, and increasing proportion of the fighting and command strength of the Legion came to be made up of Hobgoblins, whose military culture influenced them strongly.
