Nome of the Green Hills

The territory of the original Blessed Concordance ended at the southern cliffs of the Great Canyon, but never planned to leave it at that. At the same time that diplomats began wooing the Centaur herds, the Genasi dynasties of the Great Canyon were making alliances of marriage with those in the Green Hills to the south, and not long after the expansion of the Blessed Concordance into The Elysian Federation - in CY7.8 - brought those dynasties into the greater alliance.
Wooed with promises of inclusion in the treaties with the centaur herds that had long raided their borders, as well as alliances of marriage between their leading families and the genasi of the Concordance, the Nome of the Green Hills was and remains a primarily agricultural region. Not long before joining the Federation, an antique monarchy had been replaced by a form of democratic tyranny, but the nome is otherwise rather conservative, both religiously and politically.
The Nomarch is the Tyrant, an individual elected to wield supreme executive power by and from the heads of the twelve leading dynasties of the nome. The genasi of the Green Hills are very religious, and the electors of the nome are the Primarchs of the seven Gods of Foundation in the capital city of Highcastle.
