Five Who Make

The elves revere five gods as their creators. These gods are mostly known only by their names, and the legacy of their act of creation. Elves do not feel the need to give their gods personalities and stories; apart from the Sea Elves, who tell enough tales for all of them. What the Sea Elves say is that the foremost of the Five Who Make was Ay'a Ticha (Founder of the Flesh), the god who created the bodies of the elves from the substance of Aiaos. The other four, known as the Breathgivers instilled into those forms the pure force of one of the elements as it flowed fresh and vital into the Primal Wild, a process that created the four elven kindreds.
  • Hy'a Hivish (Raiser-of-Cities) gave life to the High Elves with the stone of the Primal Wild. Adamant in nature, ageless and unchanging, they seek their immortality in stone, through the creation of cities.
  • Casind Yhor (Far-Walking-Hunter) gave literal breath to the Wood Elves in the form of the ever-shifting fey winds. Airy in nature, swift and mercurial, they devote themselves to the preservation of the natural world as something larger and more enduring than any individual or artificial construct.
  • Hu'ah Ocaris (Song-on-the-Waves) brought forth the souls of the Sea Elves from the eternal ocean. Restless, yet enduring, always in motion, they see life as part of a single, vast and infinitely complex story.
  • Cind'i Rohm (Flame-in-Shadow) forged the Drow soul from evanescent faerie fire, making them fierce and passionate. They left the Regime in search of their own path when they determined that the high elves valued their social structures more than they did their own kin.
