Exofacts

Exofacts are, for the most part, simple items worked from Exomaterials or Exobiologicals, with a few, rarer examples worked from worldly materials using the energy of the Void to transform its properties as an object, rather than on a base level.   Deadblades are weapons made of deadsteel alloys. Dull and lustreless, these blades are rarely of fine quality, but possess the deadsteel's intrinsic magical resistance. Such weapons are often used by those who hunt mages, but long term use is enervating and exhausting. This deleterious effect is even greater with deadmail, as armour made of deadsteel is called.   Coilbolts are arrows, darts or quarrels made from riven wood, so named for the coiling, tentacle-like shapes that the wood naturally forms into. The fortifying influence of the riven wood makes the bolts highly lethal, but also grants a horrid vitality if left in the body.   Nautiloid plate, as the name suggests, is a heavy, cumbersome armour made from the vile nacre hull plates of ilithid nautiloids. Unlike ilithid void armour, nautiloid plate is made without the use of the alchemy which softens and reshapes the plates, and is therefore too bulky for anyone smaller than an ogre. It is, however, highly resistant to pressure, cold and corrosion.   Hungering blades are forged from natural metals alloyed with hadarite. As with deadblades, they are favoured by mage hunters, and are much more effective as such given hadarite's ability to absorb Magic. Unfortunately, they have a maximum capacity, and on reaching that capacity will, at best, fail, or at worst suffer catastrophic failure. The mere presence of hadarite causes nausea and paranoia.   Voidgazers are similar to Aiaosion scrying orbs, crystal spheres about the size of a fist, but impregnated with Void energy. They are used as arcane foci for Void sorcery, and are particularly useful for tracing other Void-touched objects, places and creatures.
