In
Caino, the
Daroka was adopted by the
Genasi and adapted to their elemental symbolism. The Elemental Daroka is a significant departure from the original format of the Tarokka, instead forming a kind of map of the cosmos.
Imagery
The suits of the Elemental Daroka are elemental - fire, air, water and earth - and are constructed around a common structure.
The ace of each suit represents the cosmic manifestation of the element, its place in the primal cosmogony of Aiaos. Numbers two to four represent three physical manifestations of the element in different states: potential, benign and destructive. The next three cards represent three spiritual manifestations, emotions or characteristics associated with the element. Eight and nine are allocated to personal manifestations, people pr archetypal roles. Finally, the master of each suit represents the genie of the element, its highest expression in the philosophy of the genasi.
The High Deck forms a map and history of the cosmos, from creation to destruction and eventual dissolution.
