Otaine
Otaine found his way to Agrophon through a mischievous gate somewhere in Faultpike, looking to make friends and cause trouble. The few who can identify him call Otaine a "slaad:" he's a monstrous toad of an unnatural red, with an impossibly wide smile and clashing blue speckles that make your eyes go cross. He's tough as a boulder but unnervingly spry, and he's barely taller than humans but strong enough to swing them around like dolls. He walks and wobbles on his hind legs in a wry imitation of human posture, and he looks like he could tip over at any moment. His natural defense is a set of wicked blades jutting from his arms, which sway around even while he stands idle, yet he never seems to cut things by accident.
Testing revealed that Otaine is not a demon, but some people are still afraid that this unrepentant ball of chaos is some obscure type of fiend. The people of Faultpike have no way to get rid of him--and he may not even be alone--so they mostly try to stay away from him, try to ignore when he destroys things, and distance themselves from anyone who provokes him.
Otaine may be oblivious, but he's also friendly and sincere, and celebrates the happiness of others as much as his own. A few brave souls are fighting their fear of Otaine and trying to sort him out. They hope to teach him that people can be fun even when they aren't trying to stop him. They even wonder if he'll learn to trust them, but Otaine doesn't seem to think that way.

If someone tries to tell him what to do, he treats it like a joke that quickly gets old. Above all, Otaine needs to have options: even if he would never knock over the town hall, he needs to know that he could if he wanted. He's tried to explain this before, but it usually gets his friends all worried.
Though he took an odd path of his own design, Otaine has become a good and beloved person. The townsfolk, who were terrified when Otaine first appeared, were a lot less concerned when the next few slaad showed up. With Otaine's help, the new visitors made fast friends with the intriguing worrywarts of Faultpike,
