Lacqueator

A wacu from Suthermont who quickly escaped the island aboard the living ship Eiconter. Once a spider, Lacqueator is significantly bigger than humans, and the honey-yellow bands around her legs warn of painful venom.

A struggling artist

Lacqueator had to spend a lot of time hiding below deck or scouting from the crow's nest; for the first time she had to travel to find food, and she often had to rely on Eiconter when she didn't have the strength to cover long distances. Bored and seasick, she needed something to do with her newfound intelligence, but all she could do was spin webs.
After a decade of practice, Lacqueator is a prodigal artist, weaving detailed patterns and even likenesses in silk. Most of her works are stored in Eiconter where nothing can damage them. Lacqueator can't explain why she does this, or how it can be so equally exciting and comforting.
