Scarborough

Scarborough is the largest city in Vethenia and is home to the famous Scarborough Fair. The city is known for its herbal named city districts.

Governance

The ruling family is the Stoutwhisper dynasty, durrently ruled by Lady Philippa Stoutwhisper.

Districts

The city is divided into 4 official districs. Beyond these 2 more has developed outside the city walls. Not belonging to any district is the Fair Square, the Green Hill and the Fortress.

Parsley

The Parsley district lies to the West and North of the Fortress and is the largest of the official districts. The majority of the inhabitants are middle class, craftsmen and traders. The Northern part of the Parsely district is home to some of the most destitute members of Scarborough and here is also the North Gate leading into the slum disctrict of the Low Steps.

Sage

The Sage district lies to the East of the Fortress and this is where most of the upper class and nobility lives. Along the Green Hill some of the worlds most extravagant villas can be found.

Rosemary

The Rosemary district lies to the South of the Fortress and is mostly characterized by being the harbour district of Scarborough. The majority of the buildings are merchant guilds, trade- and warehouses, but the district still house a more than a thousand citizens.

Thyme

The Thyme district lies along the Southeastern wall. Like Parsley it consist mostly of middle class citizens. Along the wall, close to the South Gate, lies the Arcanic Street. Here customers can buy magical services and items.
