Bakish

Family and Hearth, Feuds of Honor, Gardens and Farms.
When the Logho arrived in the Archipelago they were a group of disparate tribes, cast adrift from their homeland. They brought with them their faith in Amik and Amilak - the Father and Mother, who together bring life from the earth - and quickly made the dry and warm plains of the island their home. They retain their ancestral focus on family, hearth and home, which has led to endless squabbles and skirmishes between the now-powerful Noble Houses. The Throne of Bakish wanders between the Five Houses - the greatest of the ancient Logho families - through diplomatic agreements, formal duels, and sometimes through assassination or even open civil war.   While Nilans prefer wood as their primary construction material, the Logho of Bakish prefer stone and fired clay bricks. The most common type of structure, at least in smaller Settlements, is the Allhouse - an oval or circular structure with an outer cladding of stone or limewashed bricks, with a deep central well, surrounded by apartments and gardens. These Allhouses are easily defended, whether against Beasts or raiding neighbour houses, and can house dozens of families, safe beind thick walls. The outsides of these massive structures are often whitewashed and then painted with bright murals depicting Amik and Amilak, as well as bold geometric patterns in striking primary colours - often denoting allegiance to the Noble Houses. Larger settlements contain many Allhouses, often linked by - and surrounded by - solid walls, and with terraced gardens and multistory houses between them. Logho artisans are known far and wide for their stonework and pottery, as such, painted marble statues adorn colonnades and parks, and bright mosaics and multi-layered bas-relief carvings cover walls and walkways. There are also excellent engineers among the Logho, who provide a large variety of public works for their people, including aqueducts, granaries and sewer systems.

Agriculture & Industry

Bakish produces vast quantities of grain, metals and clay goods, which are traded across the archipelago. Bakishi beast masters are also some of the best in the archipelago, especially when it comes to training mounts and beasts of labour, and the Logho are the only kindred who often use cavalry on a larger scale.
